Stimulus Package

When Mr. Obama became Mr. President he was thrust into the middle of an economic fiasco. Many people disagree as to the cause of the economic fiasco. Some people believe that it was inherited from the demonic, satanic, worst president ever, George W. Bush, well others believe it was caused by the irresponsible democrats in control of the House and Senate. Regardless of the cause, people agree that there is a problem in need of fixing. Mr. Obama’s plan calls for nearly 800 billion dollars to be pumped into the economy to restore consumer confidence and spending. Although many claim this bill to be “earmark free” people have proven otherwise. Because of the high amount of earmarks many people think the bill should be revised. However, we are in such a state of disorder and panic that the bill was (in my opinion) pushed through and signed prematurely. Many of the congressmen THAT VOTED have admitted they did not even read the entire bill. My opinion in this matter is clear. I believe the government should keep out of this matter entirely. The economy will regulate itself in time and pumping 800 billion dollars into it will not even affect the economy for years. People are in such a state of panic that they are even willing to let the government nationalize the banks! They are willing to do anything to avert this so called “recession.” I do believe are economy is not the best is ever been. However, the media has completely and utterly exploded this recession out of proportion. Times are bad yes, but the world is not ending and I believe everyone needs to step back, take a deep breath, and realize who and what they are putting there faith in before they do something they regret.
